Hic et Nunc
Objkt 4 Objkt
During the second Objkt 4 Objkt virtual exhibition, artists were invited to mint their NFTs, known as OBJKTs, at no cost on the now-defunct Hic et Nunc (H=N) platform. The event's purpose was to encourage artists to exchange their NFTs with others, fostering a more diverse and inclusive digital art collection.
Hic et Nunc, Latin for "here and now," was the maverick of the crypto-art world — an open-source, minimalist platform built collaboratively by a community of volunteer developers.
It operated permission-less ⎯ without gatekeepers, featuring a constant flow of images, interactive objects, audio experiments, and PDFs.
Inspired by early zine festivals, where artists trade their works without monetary exchange, this concept is designed to build community and foster personal connections among artists. By removing financial barriers, participants can freely explore and expand their art collections, reinforcing the spirit of collaboration and mutual support within the digital art community.
